Mgs (psone) ninja help?

i got mgs essentials pack and was playing the original mgs, i got up to the ninja with stelth camo and can't beat him. i have low health and only the rations that are in the battle area. i can get up to the part where he says "i been waiting for this pain" but he can kill me in 2 hits. any tips? also i'm in normal difficulty
