A cactus that was ped on to me, and I have no idea what it is.?

My neighbor lived in her house for over 3 years. She had told me that the cactus that was in her kitchen had been left there previous to her moving it. When she moved out, she didn't want it, and was afraid it would just get thrown out by the lanlord. So i was quick to take it into care. I just dont know what it is. It is nearly 4 feet tall, and has a bunch of stocks. It doesn't have quil like spines but it is poky.. where can i find info??
