Had an argument with husband- what should I do?

This morning, I had an argument with my husband. I want our family to go on a holiday... and he said that the economy is bad and that since our stock values have gone down, we should save more. But he was telling me to save when the market was bouyant... and look what happened.... we lost the money we saved. We should have gone on a nice holiday and paid cash for a car.... now that is all lost. My point is that it is okay to be nice to oneself. No point being so tight-fisted.If the money is meant to go, it will go. At least get to enjoy a bit of it!
